Santoprene Thermoplastic Rubber for your Flexible Cable Needs

Santoprene is a thermoplastic rubber with environmental resistance comparable to general purpose EPDM rubber compounds and fluid resistance comparable to general purpose polychloroprene rubber compounds, providing a unique combination that lends itself to a broad range of applications.

Temperature: Cables jacketed with Santoprene offer a service temperature range from -60 to 135C (-81 to 275°F) without cracking. Excellent heat aging combined with resistance to oil and grease provides outstanding durability.

Durability: Santoprene® has excellent resistance to cut growth while flexing, high tear strength and excellent resistance to fatigue, and good resistance to many acids, bases and aqueous solutions.

Flexibility: Santoprene® has a broad range of durometers to meet individual customer’s needs. General purpose grades are suitable for most applications. Flame retardant grades meet Underwriters Laboratories requirements and can achieve a UL 94 V-0 or UL 94 HB rating.
